What is NAD+?

NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide, oxidised form) is a coenzyme found in every living cell. It carries electrons in redox reactions of glycolysis and the citric acid cycle and is a substrate for sirtuins and PARP enzymes.

In the laboratory it is reconstituted with bacteriostatic water: let the water run slowly down the inside of the vial and swirl gently until the powder has dissolved – do not shake.
